Dear Observer, Thank you for your positive & constructive views. When Ian & myself took over the reserves,we were well aware of some peoples opinion on our ability to do the job,however,as the season has progressed & we find ourselves on course for a higher points total & hopefully league position than last year, we have gradually won over the more astute of you. Of course I understand that the achievements highlighted in Jeff's excellent "The next Generation"(please see main News)where reserve players have appeared almost 100 times for the 1st team (hardly a negative attitude)will take time to filter lower down the food chain. Clearly there are issues that we are not happy about & to the uniformed that might seem negative.As civilised people we have requested a meeting to discuss these issues face to face,hopefully with a view to resolving things.(a concept you might like to aspire to in the future) Any criticism of our players is a different issue altogether & we strongly refute your unfounded allegations.Those young lads have been superb all season & their attitude is spot on.They are a credit to the Club, the Town & most importantly to their families.To go straight in to that level of football& achieve what they have, at such a tender age is nothing short of remarkable. Clearly you are only a foot soldier carrying out orders for Mr Bitter& Mr Twisted & if you feel the need to slag us off from your place of concealment, that's fine,BUT LEAVE THE PLAYERS OUT OF IT. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO PUT MY PENNIES WORTH IN. WE HAVE HEARD MANY RUMOURS OF NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE 1ST AND RESERVES. IS THIS GOING TO BE SORTED OUT NEXT YEAR. I FOR ONE WOULD LOVE TO SEE CLACTON F.C. RUN AS ONE TEAM. IF I HAVE SPOKEN OUT OF TURN I DO APOLOGIES. BUT I CAN ONLY MENTION WHAT WE HAVE HEARD. I ALSO HOPE THE PEOPLE THAT THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCENES THAT ARE THINKING OF LEAVING, DON'T.. THIS HAS TO BE SORTED AS THE ONLY PEOPLE TO LOSE OUT WILL BE CLACTON F.C. HERE'S LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT SEASON..DID THE RESERVES ENJOY THE BIT OF BUS SHELTER/BIKE STAND SUPPORT. |

Just a question to you Mr Gove,on the biggest game of the season,the cup final,did you ask your boys to play in the reserve game the night before?Or did they turn up and demand to play?So what was the best outcome for Clacton FC over those 2 days?Also after hearing your instructions and comments from the dugout in reserve games do you think that you have Clacton town FC at heart?or are you only interested in how the reserves do? |

IF YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ARE TRUE, THEN BE MAN OR WOMAN ENOUGH TO PUT YOUR REAL NAME.AS I'M SURE MR GOVE WOULD ONLY BE TO PLEASED TO DISCUSS YOUR POINTS OF VIEW FACE TO FACE. mr observer,its pretty obvious from your comments that you dont know steve very well or what goes on behind the scenes.Maybe,as KW said,you should have a chat with him and air your views. Then again,if you did I'm know you'll end up with egg on your face. |

Nothing to do with your argument boys, just an observation. K.W. you say Observer is hiding behind an alias. By just putting your initials are you not doing the same? Just an observation!!!!! P.S. I was at the reserve game the night before the cup final and I too was very very suprised to see a couple of the lads playing, knowing they were in the final the following day. |

Good chat line between Observer,K.W.Gemma,Town Fan,and now myself.We all seem to want to know something,so lets all meet Ian & Steve when a date is sorted in the hospitality room at the club.We can also find out who we all are.NOW THERES A CHALLENGE.This realy has to be done so we all understand each other,and support each other,instead of makeing rips in the club setup.ONE CLACTON TOWN F.C. FOR ALL OF US.Anyone and every one is invited to this meeting. |

I have known Steve and Ian for a number of years via youth football. CTFC are extremely fortunate to have these guys involved with the young players at reserve team level as their ability and standards, both on and off the pitch, are of the highest quality. I am extremely surprised to read some of the comments on your forum and if, for any reason, they are driven out of your club, it will be your loss and another victory for the petty-minded people that, unfortunately, are involved in all clubs. |
