Ego is the center of this dramatic experience, this life. It is that which makes us individual explorers. Exploring the limits of our reality and beyond. Ego is not evil or bad, nor should it be suppressed. The ego is, and that is how things should be. You see ego is the pinnicle of this great trip we call evolution. We are the first to truly set ourselves apart from this world, and if not for distractions by our id, become objective observers. That is not to say the ego should be allowed to run amok for it is influenced by our primal id. In all things there should be balance. It is the belief of this writer that those who actively seek to abolish their ego are doomed to become it's slave.
