can anyone give me some advise please? My 3 yr old (show bred)male B.C.is a total sweetheart with everyone who visits, is very happy with my young teen agers, and all their friends. However, he cannot be left outside a shop,or anywhere on a lead, as, if approached he will rear up and bark agressivly.Is this fear or a "guarding" instinct? This has now become a problem, as we cannot even call in to buy a newspaper en rout on his walks! He is not a rescue dog, and has to our knowledge never suffered ill treatment. In all other ways, he is a happy, confident dog.
