Hey st.gorge fans please don’t be that excited about this weeks win. It is a kind of embarrassing to read what some of you have to say about your team. It is one to be loyal to your team but something else to be realistic. Let’s not be naive the fact that your team sucks, I hope you don’t mind for my word selection. I would love to see all teams in Ethiopia become successful, but you know what, there is no team in Ethiopia that gets on my nerve as st.georges, I think they are the most selfish players on the face of the Earth. They put their interest over the team’s interest. Well, I better get off now. Good luck as you watch your team suffer in the coming weeks. I do feel bad for the fans, hopefully one day you will get to enjoy as coffee fans are enjoying the best of soccer. Peace… anonymous |

who ever you are let me point out a few of your misconceptions: 'It is one to be loyal to your team but something else to be realistic.' Let me give another level of reality: go check the past champions and look who won in the last twenty years. Don't even bother giving excuses, facts speak for themselves. 'I would love to see all teams in Ethiopia become successful, but you know what, there is no team in Ethiopia that gets on my nerve as st.georges'. That is exactly the problem. St georges gets on your nerve because they win. You follow ethiopian soccer to see giorgis fail more than to support your own club. ' I think they are the most selfish players on the face of the Earth. They put their interest over the team’s interest.' WHAT????? After buna's players destroyed ethiopian international soccer with their lazy attitude: i don't want to lift weight, i don't want to do physical, dekama... They act like star thinking they will play tek tek and that will be enough. Now i ask you who is selfish? We had so much hope after asrat won cecafa and buna and their attitude destroyed it. 'Well, I better get off now' Ahun gena tekekel tenagerg. 'I do feel bad for the fans, hopefully one day you will get to enjoy as coffee fans are enjoying the best of soccer' HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... i hope one day maybe you will get the joy of winning a championship (tamun endetegenezeb)let alone 13 in 20 years. As a matter of fact you are right you should enjoy your best soccer because coffee rarely wins at the end of the season. Ok this is what i suggest: get a name (don't hide behind anonymous), choose your team and live for your team. Egna gar endatmeta. Min gizem VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV daniel |

Hi eth mafia, I don’t mind you defending your teams position in every way possible, but it would be nice if we can discuss even criticize in decent manner. first a fall Don’t think you are better off because you go to stadium every week and burn yourself on the sun. My friend we are living in IT era. We can agree to disagree on issues since its all about opinion but lets do it with … to respond to your anger and question. I am not particularly a coffee fan, but I would defiantly say I love their soccer. They are soccer elite in Ethiopia.. It is my hope some of st.Gorges players would get to learn from them. I don’t understand why it is bad to acknowledge the problem of your team. Man, they need to work as a team. The players are the most egotistic people that I know. Hey Daniel, I appreciate your defense for your team. But you know what, there is a theory that I like, the value of a game is the value of the game times the probability of wining it. It is actually one of Pascal’s theories, what I am saying it, even if the probability of coffee winning the premier league as many as St.george did; it is worth supporting it because at the end of the day you are satisfied with their game. Please don’t tell all the past history of your team, dude we are not historians, history is not to be used to justify the present. There is one Amharic saying, I might be wrong ‘beamna bere yarese yelem’, you got talk about the present buddy. It is a pleasure talking to you. Lets hope something is good in the store for us. Hiwote, now that you have presented yourself, we can talk clealry. You may not be a historian, but i believe in statistics. When applied to soccer they show patterns on who has been the dominating force in ethiopian soccer. Timeline relevance is the only thing that need to be discussed. For a soccer club, the achievement of the past 10 to 20 years tells you about the momentum or direction the club is taking. As far as the team (the 22 players), only the past five years are relevant because players get old and are replaced. When a team is not able to renew generations of players that win championships it is not a dominant club. I prefer a team that shows momentum, character and domination ( for instance: juve, milan, manchester, real, giorgis... you know all those great clubs). You tell me that as long as you play good soccer you will be winner, no matter the outcome. Well, it is only in your opinion that your team plays beautiful soccer. It is all subjective. But there is nothing subjective about getting the wancha. There is nothing subjective about counting all the cups you won (and realizing you don't have enough fingers to count them all.) Anyway, don't accuse giorgis players to be egotistical. You seem to have ignored my comments about the recent buna players fiasco and where our soccer stands today... MIN GIZEM VVVVVVVVVV Daniel |

Now you start a nice comment. I have a tendency to support bunna from all ethiopian clubs but i am not a mad fan.i beileave in history,i can not talk about ethiopian soccer with out saying any thing about georgis,if i do that i will be out of reality. on the other hand we should not compair the past performance to defend the current performance of our clubs. Bunna has put all its effort to be the shampion,so far they are on the led.Georgis strugling to stay in the premier tornament.I personaly fail to understand why. when georgis hired 5 internatinal players and an internatinal couch,i thaught that georgis is readyfor the frist time to advance in african soccer history, this thinking was doubled when they beat bunna with an agregate of 6:0,but in this year's premier game they could not make it. No correction major was taken by the club leaders.I am sure there must be a significant problem in the club which might be releived soon and we may see georgis in the premier game next year. |

daniel 24...I agree with you totally...like you said, there is nothing subjective about our 13 championship cups...but this is exactly the problem....buna fans dont see things objectively...they are emotional...just as if they had canine oestrogen overflowing their thinking organ...Giorgis is THE team in Ethiopia, buna is only one challenger...I am sick of people saying ...dont justify the present with the past....hell ya, i will justify and explain the present with the past....I mean... a student who graduated....his degree, he keeps it for ever...he doesn t need to prove it every year....Giorgis capitalizes on his 13 championships....whether it s experience in team management...or handling times of failure...Buna fans are just bitter, discusted by our success...and mark my words....they wont make it, because buna s mentality is not about building up their own strength but about bringing others down... |

By the way,ELPA is also not to far from this years compitition for shampionship. They have the best record in ethiopian soccer history following V. Guys please stop offensive words, somebody who is viewing our conversation would demolish our value when we are disrespecting each other on a dead soccer in ethiopia.we all know soccer is seriously ill and looking to an experianced surgeon and a seasoned clinician to resolve its problem. |

Ato Physicians Truth, wow you sound like a doctor trying to apply your ideology on Ethiopian soccer. I totally agree on the comment you made about us using decent words as we continue to discuss soccer in Ethiopia. But I wouldn’t use “dead, ill” for soccer in Ethiopia. Soccer exists in Ethiopia, we have great players, wonderful coaches, all we lack is a passionate organized body that would work for unity and patriotism. You might think I am some kind of crazy optimist, but I am telling you, if some kind change occurs in EFF, from top to bottom; it won’t be far to see Ethiopia play in African cup. So Truth, please stop saying soccer is dead in Ethiopia. Essrom, I don’t understand why you should be sorry for a comment that someone has made. Man, have you eve been in dialogue before? We are in a court room where you have to plead guilty or not guilty. People will always have different opinions about things and that is OK. I don’t think, the St.gorge fans would disagree with me either. I didn’t insult anyone nor did I …. I set forth my opinion and we had a great discussion. There are things that I have learned in the process and would hope to continue discussion as we go forward. Son, don’t be very submissive. One thing I agree with you though is about the way St.Gorge fans reacted towards my comments. As I was reading through their comments again, it was so vivid to me that the fans look up to Coffee as their standard. It seems like there are trying to earn approval of how much their team is good from Buna fans. I am not surprised of that since Buna has won the hearts of thousands of people. they have accused of me being subjective, the reality is we all subjective. They are not just subjective but they are obsessed with their team which is ok. Ato, truth you are right, I think Elpa has a dim light chance to win the championship. Hey guys, good to read your comments. Have a great weekend. Peace Hiwote |

Hiwote, I have to give it to you. I applaude your attempt trying to reverse the situation. Giorgis fans looking for approval in the eyes of buna fans. Although the idea is somehow funny, let me point out that our great discussion started because buna fans interfered in the happiness giorgis fans were expressing to the renewed effort giorgis has been making to catch up. So let's not talk about who is looking for who's approval or whatever.... Good attempt though.... MIN GIZEM V Dany |
