Dear Beatlespeople what are your wishes and hopes for the new 'Get Back' 2003 album, I'm interested in reading about your expectations and thoughts and the result in the end later this year.

For the DVD I'd love to see ALL the original footage that made up the original film with extra film incorporated. Perhaps a 2 DVD set with Twickenham on Disc 1 and Apple on Disc 2.
Howabout the entire rooftop concert available in multi-angle viewing?
The sessions also captured footage of the group rehearsing songs that later appeared on the Abbey Road album.
I'd love to see an extra feature that synchs up the Abbey Road album tracks with corresponding Let It Be footage.
Chances of all this happening; virtually nil.
I'm not too conerned with the new album; it'll be a couple of outtakes and maybe 3 or 4 new mixes. Ho Hum.
And don't hold your breath; with the Anthology coming out on DVD this year and no doubt some McCartney solo project, the chances of this GET BACK package being released this year are very slim.

Abbey Road, the DVD. I've been saying it for years- Apple could get film footage of more than half of Abbey Road, by reverse syncing songs such as Octopus's Garden, Something(which was made into a video anyway), Oh Darling, I Want you, Golden Slumbers, Mean Mr. Mustard and Maxwell's Silver Hammer. Mix in later footage from the early seventies for Come together and Here Comes the Sun, a little computer technology and you have a DVD of the entire Abbey Road album. Even Her Majesty was performed in Get Back filming.

I'd love to see a multi DVD set that includes a video clip for EVERY Beatles song (yes, I believe it could be done). I think they'd be the first major group in history to release such a project.

It seems that the 'Get Back' project will now be 'Let it Be Naked' with a 20 mins extras CD (Why I don't know when this would fit on a single 80 min CD). 'Don't Let Me Down' is added (a good thing) with Dig It and Maggie Mae dropped.Well it'll sell and Apple will make millions more. I would have preferred an album that added the following :
Two of Us (the electric version seen in the Let it Be Movie)
Madman (a bit of improvisation also in the film)
Suzy's Parlour (again seen in the movie)
Watching Rainbows (a much bootlegged Lennon song sounding a bit like I've Got a Feeling with I Am the Walrus tyoe lyrics)
Commonwealth (a humourous jam relating to the serious issue of racism)
All Things Must Pass (this was heavily rehearsed during the sessions)
And a bonus disc including the complete rooftop concert. All of this stuff ha been kicking around on bootlegs and could easily fit on a 2 disc set. Maybe this is wishful thinking. Apple seem to trickle feed Beatles product. This is marketing but they could also offer value for money...

If there's any footage of the band rehearsing the '50s rock n' roll songs they jammed in order to prepare for the album, that'd be nice. Also additional footage from the famous 'Rooftop' session. Of course, commentary from the whole band, or perhaps just Paul and Ringo.

According to an angineer who's worked on the forthcoming DVD release, a commentary track (featuring all four Beatles as well as Yoko Ono, Linda Eastman, George Martin and Lindsay Hogg) will indeed be created utilising the hours of tapes from the original 1969 sessions.
Plus heaps of extra footage, including some of the fifties jams.
Sounds, to be honest, too good to be true.
Expect the basic 1970 Let It Be film with around fifteen minutes of crudely edited footage tacked on the end.
Most of the work on this new DVD project will go into constructing the press release, which will bang on about how NOBODY has seen this film since 1970. And how they've spent a decade going though the footage to give us the measly extra fifteen minutes.
You can also expect the media to swallow and regurgitate this press release hook, line and sinker without any fact checking of their own.
