Greetings! I read the article on Kapampangan ringtones as a cultural revival in the PDI and I think this is a great endeavour that is most admirable. I have some questions for a similar application for music that has been inspired by bits and peices of phil culture fused together. Please visit our link or do a search on world music group from the phils Pinikpikan. http://www.pinikpikan.com ethno fusion music |

It is such a relief and great joy that at last there are a lot of Kapampangans who are really interested to study about our own culture. Most Kapampangans seem to be not so proud of their identity, I just wish that information dissemination will be more rampant so as to uplift us all Kapmapangans of how great our forefathers were and how great we could also be. I pray that all those unsung heroes in our saga to know our history and culture be unceasing in thier endeavors. Godspeed to all! |

I would like to suggest to Robby Tantingco, Mr. Henares, Mmes. Suarez, Wilkerson, and other Pamapngo culturatis to organize some sort of monthly or bimonthly tertullias. I have attended some revived spansih tertullias here in manila. I have also asked about detials of tertullias from our old augustinian conferes. In think this woul;d be a rich informal venues for a group of 20-30 people, or less to talk, entertain each other and share some details and trivia on our colorful heritage. And Pampango would be the encourged if not required medium of exchange. I willling to exert all necessary cooperative efforts if a core group could be formed to seit down and start working on it. I also foresee these actvivites to be a venue for old folks in Pampango rich and ordinary folks alike (who have their own old stories to tell) to share their own stories about the past. MASANTING YA YNI KARETANG MAKATUA KARENG BALEN TAMU, TMUAGUN LA MANGAN MAKIPAGKUENTU< MIPAMIRU< NENG KAYI TUMERAK (eg.,Xmas Rigodon) BAN MILUAL LA KEREND BALE RE and enjoy the est of their life sharing the glories of the past with young yuppies like us. I hope this gains ground. Salamat pu, |
