Regarding the Chamonix trip on 15th March 2008, what are the details? I guess the outward is on 14th and return on 16th? Which particular easyJet service (I see there is 10.25 departure from NCL to GVA and there are two flights from GVA to NCL at 10.45 and 21.25). Are we travelling together and checking in at hostel? Minibus cost quoted at £50 is it for group? Yet there is no mention whether everyone is going together by plane and to Chamonix ski resort by minibus. Need more clarification on the trip details please. Thanks Mark |

Sorry about the lack of information on this trip but it is not really planned in detail yet. The GENERAL plan is to fly on EasyJet on Thursday 13th Mach at 10.25 (£39.99) and return on Sunday 16th March at 21.20 (£69.99). You can save £30 by returning on Monday but I need to be back at work that day so no good to me. The transfer is about £30 each way (no discount for groups). We will stay in a hostel called Chalet Ski Station which is about £10 per night and is right next to the Le Brevant telepherique (and a bit basic). I would think we would travel together but it’s not necessary. Some might want to go earlier or later so we could just meet at the hostel. So we can have 3 full days skiing. Actually about £25 per person each way. There is a bus service which is cheaper, about £18 (I think). but with the minibus transfer we get picked up from our flight and taken straight to the hostel. No delays, no stops. It takes about an hour each way. Obscenely expensive... but worth it! |

On the trip list, there is Assynt weekend taking place 15th March (14-16 March) wouldn't it clash with Chamonix trip? I want to do them both - can't be in two places at once! |

Hi Ian, I'm still keeping that weekend for the trip. Would be cheaper and better with Outac group. Who's organising this trip - any progress? Has a bunkhouse been booked? Info please! Will bear your suggestion in mind. I'll give it a week from this posting for someone to stand up so this can be progressed. Thanks Mark |
