Shawn Johnson got the gold medal, after having scored 61.725 points. Rebecca Bross won the silver medal and scored 61.050 points and Ivana Hong, won the bronze one, with 59.375 points. "I’m very glad I’ve won this medal for my country. We trained a lot and were expecting a victory” said Shawn. When the Brazilian gymnast, Jade Barbosa started the last routine she was already first place, but the Brazilian ended up in fourth and did not win any medals (59.325 points). Jade was the athlete who scored the most points in the vault competition(15.850), but she fell down during her uneven bars routine, which caused her to lose points and have a low final score.
