I have to move my vehicle everyday to the loading dock before I can start loading. My PM says that can't be included in my loading time during the count because I will go over the 8 minute limit and she will not let that happen. Can this time be added under colume R? Please help

In our office it is including in loading time but I know some offices do put it in the R column. Remember: you take as long as you normally do loading your vehicle don't rush - don't let the postmaster scare you into hurrying. If you go over 8 minutes he has to explain it but don't let him make you think you're not allowed to go over because you can. Get your own stopwatch and time yourself. If your time doesn't closely match his or match what he writes down CALL YOUR UNION STEWARD.

8 minutes?? Count guide states "any time over 15 minutes must be explained," which should give you up to 15 minutes without a problem. Your PM set their own "goal" on this? MOving your vehicle to the loading area should be included in the loading time. My solution to this in past years was to carry the mail from the "dock" to the vehicle without moving the vehicle. Let them give you a parking spot so you do not have to move the vehicle and grieve it when they move you after count so others can park closer to the dock, city carriers that get paid by the hour?

We too get actual time that it takes to move the vehicle and load it.
