My wife has been a sub now for over 4 years, she was bypassed over for a full time job. she was senior sub in the office up to 1 week before the job was filled when the postmaster brought in another carrier who had worked on a city route for 1 month longer in the system than my wife, she was denied the bid and has moved to another office due to the fact that she would have to wait years to be full time, the new office has a carrier leaving within a year or two and again my wife is the senior sub but the postmaster has brought in another sub with 1 month more seniority than my wife in the system. I feel my wife should have gotten the full time job at the first office. I feel that the post office has put the screws to subs and why should they care anymore.
any thoughts would be great.

Sounds strange!! Did your wife call her union steward? When I got my full time route there was another sub that had transfered into our office that had been with the postal system longer than me, but I had "office" senority so I got a route before her. Tell her to call her union steward for "senority clarification" before it happens to her again. Don't take the word of the postmaster..most postmasters can lie just by opening their mouths.
