I would like to knowas I have yet to find/figure out how I can change the team name on the original ROM as I am using the Emuware Editor to make my own RBI with various teams of my choice of course and I need to change the standard team names to put in the teams I want, can anyone explain how this is accomplished. Thanks.

i've created many rbi roms (posted on my website) and there are a couple of ways to change team names. i used nesticle (the emulator) to chnge the little two letter team "logos". it's not really hard, just a little tedious, as you have do that tile editing stuff on 4 separate screens (the team selction/pitcher selection screen, scoreboard, batter'pitcher screen, and newspaper). Unfortunately you can't edit the text with nesticle, or with the emuware editor. There's an online rbi editor that lets you edit the full team names on the title screen and newspaper headlines. The problem with that is sometimes the 2-letter logos don't show up correctly in the game for some teams sometimes, and the online editor saves the rom as a smaller sized rom you can't open with the emuware editor. there's no real perfect solution, but there are some ways to edit the team names that work ok.

I had way too much time on my hands, and got caught up in the Cubs run in the playoffs, so I made a Visual C++ program that allows you to edit an RBI ROM. Check out http://www32.brinkster.com/dbatch/RBI.html

nice editor. it combines the good features of the downloadable emuware editorand nightwulf's online editor, and simplifies the whole process.
good work

How come when I try to use the editor it says it cannot find certain *.dll files? If anyone can get me all the files I will need please email me if you get a chance.

Great Editor! There are some people that would like to contact you, so if you could leave an e-mail, or another contact, that would be great. Also, if you are ever bored again, it would be really sweet if you could set it up so it would be easy to adjust the line up with radio buttons or something, and maybe make it possible for trades? It would be a nice feature for sim leagues.
Thanks again!

Thanks to jrg for posting 3 separate RBI ROMs -- that made it easier to track down and change the uniform colors on the newspaper screen at the end of the game. The idea of including trades in a ROM editor sounds pretty good, too. I was able to find the hex addresses of stats as they occur in the game - like strikes thrown, who's on base at any given time, etc. - I just can't find a way to channel that info from an emulator into another program so that you could keep up to the minute stats. I use the FCEUltra NES emulator, anyone else have any ideas? As far as RBI Editor saying it's missing *.dll files, I didn't do much testing -- I pretty much ran the whole thing on WinXP Pro without incident. Maybe it's missing a DirectX dll??

i had the missing dll problem when i first downloaded the editor. i went on google to search for the 3 dll's that i got error messages about, it really didn't take too long to get them.
