hey lol..i'm to old to play hockey lol...i didn't get cut....so u think before u speak buddy....and i have nothung against those players i just feel its stupid...how is miramichi suposed to have a team when people do this stuff! |

I've seen Couturier play before, and he wasn't chosen for travel purposes, he was chosen because he has size (height right now anyway), skils and youth. If they had based their selections on travel purposes, they probably would have actually picked a player from within the city. It is a sad day when neither Chatham or Newcastle are represented on the team. But that speaks more to the general attitude of those kids, who don't realise who much more fun/competetive midget AAA hockey is compared to high school, than it does to an overall lack of talent. The team should do fine though, d looks pretty soft but the offense should be there, and that might play into the new rule changes, where the little-man rules. |

yea i feel couterier will be great...i just find it pretty sad that no one from miramici will be on the team |

Dunnett, Murdoch, Connors, Donovan, Hare, McCormack and Manuel are all from Miramichi 4 other kids have moved here and are going to school |

no lol...donovan and connors and tyler are from renous and blackville that is not miramichi and manuel is from the baie....and hare is from sunny corner |

The program is set up for ALL Midget aged players in North Eastern N.B. that are either Good enough to play at this level, or take Hockey seriously enough to make the sacrifice and committment to play at such a high level. You do the math!!!!! Best Hockey on the River!!!! No Question. |

That's right, then the NorthEast would have no place to showcase their talent. You're absolutely right, the Miramichi could not compete with the likes of Moncton, S.J. and Fred. without players from the Region. I guess this is why it's a Regional Team based out of Miramichi. Even Moncton and the other N.B. teams go outside their City.... It's not Bantam "AAA" where anybody can say they're "AAA" This is MAJOR MIDGET made up of Regional players..... Better luck next year Pal.... Not everyone makes the N.H.L. either |

Since when is Renous, Blackville and Baie St. Anne not considered a part of Miramichi. St. John won last year with kids all the way from St. Stephen to Sussex. Moncton has all the little hockey hotbeads in the bottom of NB. That is how the league is designed. No, The rivermen cannot have a team with only kids from the city, no one could. The shame is that there is not enough talent/desire from "city kids" becuse they are the ones missing out. It is the best hockey you can play at that age...no doubt about it |

About there being no "city kids" on the team. There are many reasons, first nobody is going to the N.H.L . Second why not play with your friends. High school is a competitive league |

Nobody in Midget Hockey around here is going to the NHL...unless of course you count Sidney Crosby or Luc Bourdon |

15 Years ago High School Hockey was competitive, now it's House League with fancier uniforms. You don't really have to put on all that stinky Gear to go PLAY with your friends now do you. It would be a shame if you made new friends that can play Hockey???? |
