There is work being done on the old Albertsons building. Does anyone know what is going in there. |

City Web site says it will be a Sports Authority. See this: New businesses coming Costco Wholesale, a global retailer with warehouse club operations in eight countries, will open a store in Rockwall at State Highway 205 and State Highway 276. A site plan was recently approved by city officials for the business. The Sports Authority, a sporting goods supply store that operates more than 400 stores in U.S., is currently under construction in the space formerly occupied by Albertson’s, at Ridge Road and Interstate 30. Also under construction are a Starbucks at I-30 and Horizon Road, a Walgreen’s at SH 205 and Lakeshore Drive, a 7-11 at SH-205 and FM-552 and a KIA car dealership on I-30. Lane Bryant, a plus size ladies fashion store, Staples, an office supply company and Zales Company Store, a jewelry store, will locate in the Rockwall Plaza shopping center on I-30 East. |

Does anyone have recent news about the Costco? I have not seen any recent information about when construction should start. |
