I'm planning a rafting trip while visiting New Zealand in February, but I can't decide which adventure to choose. Those of you who have rafted both the Wairoa and the Kaituna if you had the option to pick one of the two which would you select? I know the Kaituna is famous for the 7m drop and that trips on the Wairoa are limited to just 26 days a year. Which would you say provides the best overall experience? |

I would say take a look at doing a Topo Duo run instead of a raft if you're looking at the Kaituna. Lots more fun. http://www.paddlehard.blogspot.com My paddling adventures |
