While JLAvengers talk has dominated this 'board ( and rightfully so), there hasn't been any discussion about GAMES. I mean, c'mon....Wolfman + Perez + Titans = Mondo maximum FUN TIMES FER ALL! I am not ashamed to say that NEW TEEN TITANS by Wolfan and Perez played a big part in helping me get through a troubled childhood. I am even MORE excited about GAMES than I was about JLAVENGERS...and that's some heapin' helpin" of excitement let me tell you!

Yeah, i actually think it'll make a better book. Marv+Perez... man.
Kurt can make very cool thinks when he copies other people's plots (Steve Englehearts plot shoved into Avengers forever, for instance), but unfortunately really blows into superficiality and low qual dialogue when he comes up with his own stuff. thus JLA\Avengers suffers a bit.
Changes probably won't.

I'm excited for it. It's wonderful to have Perez finally completing these "I-thought-we'd-never-see-it" projects.
.
I'm not incredibly thrilled that it's Danny Chase-era Titans. I never cared for the character. And I worry about the 40 or so pages set in current continuity, since I know nothing about the current team. But it's still Wolfman and Perez and Titans, so I know I'll love it.
.
As far as JLA/Avengers and Busiek goes, I think Kurt's doing a terrific job with this series. It might be a tad overstuffed, but this project was always going to be a everything-but-the-kitchen-sink story, so no real disappointment on my end. I agree with George that Kurt is the second best collaborator he's ever had, with Marv being #1.

When I first heard about GAMES, I was overjoyed. Back in the hey day of Titans, I actually had a reccuring dream of walking into a comic shop and finding Perez Titans books that I didn't know existed. My excitemnet has waned on GAMES since I heard that George was suffering from tendinitis and JLA/Avengers #4 was being delayed until at least mid-February. This means his work on GAMES will start later and may take longer.

Although I'm a huge GP fan, his ability to finish projects has suffered through the years. I still haven't completely gotten over the Crimson Plague series and haven't pursued many of his recent projects because I didn't know what to expect as far as timeliness or longevity. I'll be a lot more excited about GAMES when (if?) the art is finished and it's in Wolfman's hands to do the script.

Get well George, we all want to see the end of JLA/Avengers and all of GAMES.

Cheers
