Are plans in the works to relocate the site of the highland games? I heard the state fair grounds are closed to the public until late May. Paul Hinson |

The Games committee is meeting monday night to make a decision about the location. More news then. |

It's tragic that the games are cancelled. We don't need electricity for the games! Just coolers, pipes, and crazy guys in skirts... |

Agreed. It IS tragic, but unavoidable. We'll be back next year only bigger and better. |

we never miss the games,would Sangamon co fairgrounds be possible? I heard Chicago and thats 4 hours away! |

The Chairpersons of the Games have given it much thought, exhausted a search for an alternative, and have concluded that we must cancel and work on next year. |

Help! got a new Renfaire mag, it lists the games as may 14 08, also saw it on ch.20 news whats going on! |

The 2008 Games are cancelled....that's that. Advertisements that were put in motion months ago, may still appear from time to time. But that doesn't change the fact the Games will not happen in 2008. |
