I got a case and I am not a dealer but I think invites went to those who had ordered cases before.

I think it works according to how many boxes you normally buy. If you normally buy a case, you will be offered a case, if it's one box, then you will be offered one box. It's far from being a farce. Barrie is just rewarding his loyal people.
I may have read this all wrong, but this is as I see it.

does this monochrome set include foils/autographs etc or is it just the base set?
thanks,

Foils are included in the packs (they are the same as the ones released with the 1st Trilogy set). About 10 or 12 to a box, from my experience. Each box has one auto card too (in addition to the sketch or costume card).

Got my case today and can say this set is anything but a farce . Got some really cool Hardy sketches .
The only downside is one box never had any auto sketch or costume inside . Emailed Elisabeth and hope to hear back soon . Was really my only disappointment to this set .

Agreed. This is far and away the best Strictly Ink release to date, IMHO.

Just to add my "Twopenneth's Worth"! - I was fortunate enough to receive some of these cases and also found some boxes without any "Specials" in at all, in light of this I removed my listing of 5 boxes from eBay - plus there are Sketch Redemption cards included in this lot AND I found a Blueprint Case Topper in one box too. I have been assured that any shortfalls will be sorted out - I have not yet been disappointed!!

Same problem I had with one of my boxes . Can you tell me who you got in touch with email Barrie and Elisabeth . Not heard back yet but its still early days .

I have opened 9 cases of this product, and have averaged 10+ sketches per 12 box case, and had only one box without any auto/costume/sketch/blueprint card, which equals to less than 1% of boxes opened. Well don Barrie.

that's fine if you get an 'invite' but what about those that didn't? It seems to me that Barrie is happy to suck up to the dealers, while not giving a fig about the people that count, the collectors. This is coming from someone that has bought cases in the past incidentally. By the way don't be so sure of Barrie sorting out any short fall. Still waiting on him dealing with similar problem form November 06 releases only for him to turn around and call me a lier!!

I dont think there sucking up to dealers at all . Im not a dealer and got a case and know of a few others who got a case and arent dealers as well .
Iv also been told by Elisabeth she will sort out my missing sketch / costume so can olny wait and see .

With limited numbers available, sadly someone has to miss out. Its good business sense though to offer products to people who are regular buyers, so the principle is sound IMHO.

Got the invite having bought a Case of 40th and Trilogy, plus some auto sets off eBay. Couldn't take up the offer, rather burned out on card collecting and offloading much of my non-Dr Who sets.
Plus I figured I can always buy the mono set on eBay, the rest would be just trying to scalp some good sketches - then to sell or not??!!

I am not a dealer and have bought very
little directly frim SI. I e-maild them after the monochrome set was released and a few days later i recieved an invite to buy. In my opinion Barrie and co have done the best they can possibly do with such a limited edition relese. I say thank you Sticktly Ink.
