My name is whatever and I come from wherever and I met pinhole doug in a bar and he was drinking Guinness. He proceeded to tell me that he was working on his second series of Pinhole cameras. He expected to have 10 more cans by the end of the night. He gave me this coke can and said there was film in it and I should take a picture and send him the negative... I took the can and moved to the other side of the bar. After consuming many brewskies myself I followed the directions on the can and, what do know, I had myself a picture. It was rather blurry but that's exactly what I remember seeing anyway. All and all it was the best experience in my entire life. I sent the negative to Doug and look forward to reading all the other wonderful stories that are sure to come. |

met Doug in Flordia Keys. My brother persuaded me to stop and listen to the guy. We bought a Coke camera. Gently took it back to Wisconsin and took our pinhole picture near a creek. Not sure if it turned out gotta get it developed. What a wacky idea. |

Hey Doug, My name is Tim Gould and I am one of the Key West College folks. Well, I hung on to the Pinhole camera trying to come up with that "one shot" that had some meaning, Something that I could capture that represented the idea of a pinhole camera. I knew I only had "one shot" so I wanted to make it special. I decided upon my sister in laws wedding. She and her fiancee are absolutely wonderful people and they certainly deserved the "one shot". So, at their wedding (Which was held on the beach) I set up my camera which caused quite a stir among all the other guests. Everyone wanted to know what I was doing with this crazy looking coke can. Some swearing that their was know way that it could ever take a picture. Needless to say, I tried my best to explain the story of you and your family and your journey, as well as the pinhole project. Your story seems to impress all who here it. Well, I have attached both my Pinhole shot and a shot I took with my 35mm (so you know what they are supposed to look like) The pinhole is not nearly the quality I would have liked but I think that was not necessarily the point of the project. If for some reason you are not able to open them let me know and I will try to resend them. Also the film is on it's way. Thanks for the entire experience, Tim |
