In researching my family tree I came across the most famous American bearing the name Swancutt. He is Major-General Woodrow P. Swancutt, USAF. I have met and talked with him and he confirms his origins in Wales also. He achieved fame and ultimately the rank of Major General by piloting the airplane which dropped the atomic bomb on Bikini Atoll after World War II, giving rise to the name to the bathing costume. This is documented in a series of videos called "America's Atomic Tests."

I am doing some research on an old Army Camp and the Swancutt Family of La Crosse, Wisconsin figures prominently...including Gen Woodrow Swancutt. Looking to contact any surviving relatives. A brother, vernon may stil be alive. lease let me know how I can reach any memebrs of this family. Thanks
