Does anyone know which year Besson last manufactured a Tenor Horn (aka Alto Horn, aka Altonium) with a bell front / piston valve front design? I am NOT looking for a horn in the configuration of a trumpet, but rather I am interested in a horn configured like a Tenor Horn but with the bell angled forward rather than straight up. I'm not getting any email response from the Besson Company USA representative regarding this issue. Are there any Besson historians out there? |

You want either Greg Monks or Kenton Scott from the Horn-u-Copia.net website. They know EVERYTHING! |

The guys at Besson don't and won't know anything. Most people working at brass companies are clock-punchers whose only interest is getting the day over with. Some of the collectors at Horn-u-copia might be able to answer your question. I'll post the link. The best way to get a quick answer is to join, then post your question, otherwise Kenton has to ask around and wait for a possible response. http://www.horn-u-copia.net/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl |
