While the congratulations are pouring in for the first teams great achievement and also for the unbeaten second team and league champion Hoppers, massive preparations are going on for next season in the higher division. It is clear to everyone that there will be massive changes and the bill of running a club in National 2 will be huge. There are commitees dedicated to finding money from a host of different sources. The clubhouse and bar we have is one of the best value and finest venues in the area yet it is drastically underused!!!! this starts with players and members choosing to not use the clubhouse for parties, company events and functions but on a much more basic level drinking on a saturday night. It is OUR CLUBHOUSE and we all need to do our best make it a warm and welcoming place and to use the clubhouse as often as we can. We are working very hard to get the product on offer right and we welcome any suggestions to improve the clubhouse in any way. This is the first of many pleas to increase use of the clubhouse. i think a good start would to get people who enjoy working behind the bar - i.e. give you a smile and talk to you. not just ignore you. im sure you would find alot more of the players would stay longer if something was done about the staff. Offers on drinks would also encourage the players to have more drinks at the club - jugs charged at a set fee not per pint in the jug!!!!! i definately agree something needs to be done for people to enjoy the environment after a good game of rugby. |

Spot on Unhappy Customer - make people feel welcome and valued clients would be a start. Sometimes even the players feel unwelcome in the club on a saturday night buying a pint. Maybe happy hours on a saturday afternoon as well, or themed days for home games (i.e. fancy dress, bets (legal) etc)) |
