Hi, I need some advise urgently. My husband brought home 3 quails last April for my 5 year old. We were unprepared and they ended up in a large hamster cage. I have just had to rehome elsewhere the largest quail as she started laying eggs last week and also starting pecking the smallest quail near to death. The other 2 quails get on well together (M/F)but the smallest mail quail is quite bald from all the pecking, I have put tea cream on him but now hes pecking himself as well and doesnt seem to improve very fast. A neighbour says they must go to an aviary but hubby is abroad and my daughter is only 5 and I dont know what to do. They are eating, drinking well and being kept in the living room since last April. Any help/advise or rehoming options please.
