Heard a story recently that George W Bush, the graduate of an exclusive New England prep school and Yale University used to speak very good English and without the Texas drawl as well. I submit that his misuse of the English language is a deliberate put on to endear him to the common man.
To me he sounds like that stand up comic who deliberately uses big words incorrectly. I just don't buy it. If you compare him to both John Kerry and John Edwards who grew up in working class families and speak grammatically perfect English it simply reeks of an act, a grand charade.
I use myself as an example. I am quite capable of speaking like a street kid from the Bronx, Italian or black, and can easily take on the speech pattern of the local country folk so I do not find this theory a stretch for an ambitious man who wishes to hide his true identity from an electorate that is basically anti Northeast intellectual. He is, after all, a member of the same in club, the Skull and Crossbones as his opponent John Kerry. Think about it.

I believe that you give dumbya far too much credit. He is an Ivy League graduate because of the political power of his daddy and grandpa. He is a wooden headed dumb puppet of the rich and powerful who's lack of intelligence spews out everytime he opens his mouth.
The most amazing thing I see is the huge numbers of people that will not or cannot see his obvious short commings

Bush may have been accepted in Yale because of his legacy, but he graduated in 1968 before grade inflation took over the Ivies and almost everywhere else. Greater point, however, is that he graduated from Harvard Business School, a place that does not accept anyone due to a legacy. Bush downplays his HBS degree, and the press never mentions it. He's a smart guy albeit a little too beholden to his consultants. He felt like a fish out of water at Yale in the 1960s, and he has said as much. He is not an intellectual, but he is far from dumb--and his introduction of democracy to the Middle East will be, I predict, the most impressive part of his presidency. There is a tendency on the part of liberals to call anyone they don't like or agree with "dumb." Shalom!

Dhiraja, my wife, has a feeling that the young Bush and his father (as well as a number of other people in American government) are, in fact, the advanced team of reptiles that will be arriving around 2012 to eat their harvest of juicy, overweight American human beings.

She feels that these people do not care about the environment, because for them, plenty more toxic is fine. Monsanto is one of their companies. She senses that MacDonald's (and their competitors) is a feeding pen, and that those who frequent these places are the ones to be eaten first

Reptiles are cold blooded....

Y'all are the dumbyas, I fear. Mr. Bush was reelected by the vast majority of intelligent, informed Americans who refused to be bamboozled by the liberal media. Truth won out over deceit and trickery. This was a hard-fought victory, y'all.

Don't reptiles eat the slow and dumb-witted first? Look out, Republicans!

Bush was not elected by the vast majority of anybody least of all the intelligent element of our great nation. He was elected by the haves and the have mores, his real base, with very loud support from a bunch of religious fanatics who are living in the dark ages.

What elections numbers are you talking about Tom? The "have mores" tend to live in places like Potomac, Maryland, and NYC, both spots that were Kerry territory. The have nots (I assume you mean "Middle America" making up the Heartland and the center of the tax base) are the exact voters who went for Bush. Bush wasn't elected exclusively by the Country Club set; he was elected by the same types who made him gov. of Texas. And, yes, sweetie, it was mandate--whether you can stomach that or not.

If you want some serious food for thought, read the book, "The Biggest Secret", by David Icke. He also wrote a book, "...And the Truth Shall Set You Free." Virato, you will appreciate this too ... and perhaps even make mention of this on your radio programme.

Hey there Bob, guess you missed the bit on TV whree Bush was speaking to a bunch of his supporters saying something to the effect that you people, the haves and the have mores are my real base.
Anyway, wonder how all the fools that voted for this jerk are feeling today. Seems the polls are saying he would not be reelected at this point. If he escapes empeachment for lying and misleading the American people and the US Congress.
You've got it all back end to in reference to Kerry vs Bush. Bush was born with the silver spoon stuck where the sun don't shine and Kerry was born near about on the other side of the tracks. Bush got over on the evangelical Christians with his "hi folks" act. The Bush family are aristocratic easterners. W's twang is all act. His actions have shown clearly he doesn't give a damn about working class Americans be they evangelicals or not, nor does he support the troops that he is exploiting the hell out of in a falsely executed war that is slowly destroying what once was a really good army. Wake up and smell the Texas cow dung because that's all you will have left when this fool is finished.

It's not a matter of education, upbringing, or anything else....the most important thing a politition has to do is satisfy his constituents. Mr. Bush started ot fine, but has totally screwed it up now. He's not the first to do this and surely won't be the last. I think he has failed to do the right things.
