you seemed to forget the "real" locals, the ones who were born here and lived their whole life here....we have actually got "chocked out" by way too many "outsiders" flocking in, causing way to much building and destroying "our " mountains. Frankly, I wish all the outsiders would go back to "their " hom |

This is what happens when locals live in an oasis or on a vortex, and don't get what's happening... |

Whadaya mean"whats up with the gay thing?" The same thing that's up with the hetero thing. For gay men "whats up" (if things are going well) is usually the penis. I believe straight men are capable of this same anatomical expression. For "gay" women, "whats up" is usually...well, that's for us to know and for you not to find out. And yes, I am a native of the Asheville area. Born at the old St Joseph's hospital. While I'm brandishing the talking stick (dadburn patriarchial tradition), let me piont out Virato, dear, that many of the folks who find their way to this powerful part of the world have no pluncking idea whats going on here either. Especially with the land that they abuse as thy rip up the ground with bulldozers to build a home wher three inches of topsiol took 2 billion years to build up, for one example. Many newcomers are not aware of the diversity and the extreme fragility of this biosystem and how to support it. Most newcomers have no idea they have moved to one of only three remaining temperate cloud forest bioregions on the whole planet. We locals are everywhere. we are used to being treated as less intelligent and less capable people by outsiders. We often play the "dumb local" role so many of you newcomers desire, just so we can watch you meke a fool of yourself. If you would live in the land of the Gauls and the Visigoths, it would be well to leave the culturally supercilious attitude of Rome behind. Be well Virato, this mag is a good thing. |

How embarassing! I did not adequately proof read my last posting. The spelling errors are due to the fact that I just never learned how to type worth a darn. Yep, we locals don't talk good either... |
