Topic: schoolwork after challenge semester

For those of you with Challenge students, what do you do with them after the second semester of challenge ends in the Spring? Our classes end in April and I can't foresee my 13 year old doing no school from then until September! I have a few ideas, but was wondering what others do to fill this time and supplement the program. My daughter is in Challenge A this year, seventh grade. Thanks for your ideas!

Hi Michelle, After her formal studies have concluded for the year, your thirteen year old would have time to study in depth one or more of her favorite subjects. You and she could also spend time volunteering in the various ministries of your own church. In addition, it's an election year and I'm sure there are plenty of local candidates who could use your help. Spring will be a great time to put into practice all of the knowledge and skills she has learned in Challenge A! Blessings, Beth
