If the accounts of His life and ministry are as "bogus" as discribed in your article, what factual foundation is your article sustained by? I did see some attacks on what a Christian would consider their core believes, without footnotes citing references to support the attacks. I saw some "New" facts added in their places. I didn't see footnotes there either. Somewhere between 2 to 4 billion people except as fact some things you suggest are myth. You suggest some new, what I would call, well honestly I'm not sure what I would call them, how about "guesses at what you would like to believe are facts". But (ok not the worlds best at grammar or spelling) where is the proof? Maybe I should take the time to submit a well thought out piece. Maybe even something with grammar ans spelling checked. The problem is that I don't want a war.
(if thewse show up, sorry, so much for embedding format commands)(If they didnt show up, well, Don knows what I mean.) Now it seems to me that a war might be a little silly since it looks like Don and I are the only human beings that will ever war over this. I know and respect Don, even if he wont answer his email. Maybe he has too many to keep track of. In any case, he at one time was a faithfull believer in most Christian dogma. He knows what I'd write before I'd write it. It wouldn't do any good or serve any purpose other than annoy him (you). I don't want to do that. What would be nice is that if someone else wanders over to his ezine, it would be nice to show some facts if you are going to say several billion people are a little off their nut and believing crazy things. ANYway, I thought that the traditions of the organizations represented here, even the opposite of Christianity, believed in "fairness" and in accepting others belief systems.
So even though it would be a little war, I still don't want one. Besides he, you, will be to busy packing, unpacking , and probably swearing at things you can't find, to fight. |

I'm not really dissing Xtian believers, but the NT is not the final authoritative "Word of God" because it was compiled by man - one man - Bishop Eusabius. He decided what books were orthodox and which ones weren't based on biased opinion. It is really strange that the Protestants rely on a book as being "Holy Scripture" that everyone must believe in, since it was compiled by Catholics! However they couldn't just copy thethose selections, they to had to tinker, so they removed books they didn't like - you just need to simply compare a Catholic Bible with a Protestant one! Its well known that Gnostic and many other gospels that were considered hetrodox were not considered - even books that had a wide and loyal following... http://www.barsoomfishrap.com The Barsoom Fish 'Rap |
