Hi guys, just wanted to say how awesome it is that you are starting to work on a couple of new CDs. I thoroughly enjoy all of your CDs and listen to them all the time so I can't wait to hear new music from the band. Good luck! |

I hate computers and message boards - I just wrote a freagin long post and I forgot to enter the stupid 4 digit number and my masterpiece was totally erased. I'll try to remember what I said. I started off by busting on Matt - where are you? You know the band voted against Matt starting this board but he proved us wrong, until now. SO I'll try to pick up the ball here (Matt will probably offer up an excuse like he had a root canal or something - and so what if he did!) First of all thanks to the Angels for recognizing my finely crafted and calculated "Jesus on Crack" look. It's not easy and I work hard for that image. Dan - thank you for listening to our old CDs and looking forward to the new ones that will be out soon. The rarities CD has a live version of "White Trash Girl" that sounds awesome. There's also two new songs on there - "Goodbye 3am" and "Double Time". PLus there is our only piano ballad - "Hello Cleveland" and a song called "I Need a Beer" (staple of the live show but never recorded till now!). There are a few covers too including a rockin' version of the Replacements' "Treatment Bound" and a basement recording of "Ain't That a Shame" that originally appeared on a tribute CD to American Graffiti on some Italian label. As far as the new proper full lenght CD - we have recorded and mixed 3 songs so far - "Syd Barret", "Stereo", and a tune called "Mud Pie". So we're working hard to get some new stuff out there. Oh I'm also glad to see Becker being recognized and appreciated - he is the original Jesus on crack. I owe it all to him. I finally got DSL so I've downloaded a free song from the soon to be released new Paul Westerberg album - if anyone is also a fan you can get it via this site - http://members.aol.com/paulspage/stpaul04a.htm It's great, great I say. Wow this board HAS really sucked lately. (You know it's dead when Mick has to post something...) Where are the "Dipsos Angels"?? I hope they havent abandoned us! Mike from Hamburg, where are ya? We need some action on this message board!:^) OK, how about this- with two CD's in the works, we Dipsos have a list of decent CD titles that we're considering for teh new projects, but more suggestions couldn't hurt! So here's your chance - all you Dipsos fans out there (all 4 of you..) to possibly help us name an upcoming CD. It could be silly, serious, crude and vulgar, or just altogether shitty. So how about it?? HEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOO dear friends,fiends and fans............. WE ARE SOOOOO SORRY FOR ABANDONING THE MESSAGE BOARD!!!!! SORRY MICK. WE STILL LOVE YOU GUYS AND THANKS MATT FOR THIS AWESOME MESSAGE BOARD. IT ROCKS!!!! even though its been a little quiet in here lately...but we are back to cause some more trouble. Us Angels were out partying in Florida for 2 weeks. Kelly is heading out to college in upstate NY and we won't be seeing her again until Nov...so it has been very depressing around here. So we made sure we spent the last weeks together partying. We are debating here whether we should continue the "Dipsos of the week" nominations It wont be the same without Kels and besides......It's getting "so last season"..lol....So what do you think guys? So what best way to end it than leaving our friend Becker to hold the title forever...he deserves it and you guys should buy him some free beers next time you see him. Hey did we just get paid by Becker to say that?????$$$$ : )~ Ok guys we all love you and all but what or who the fuck came up with some of those CD titles...... My Dads a DJ?????? What the hell is that!! that has to be by far the worst one on that list if not the worst one in the history of Rock and Roll. I do hope you are kidding right. We like Working Stiffs and the cover should have some images of Viagra pills,,,,get it (comon you were supposed to laugh). But we all agree and definately think the name of your next cd should be..."The Lovely Dipsos Angels" YES we love that title. PLEASE....pretty PLEASE.... Comon Mick you know you love us.... We also suggest: -Ron Is So Hot -Kill That Bitch (as in the WMGK worker,,,,speaking of which where the hell is she...we want you to come out and play again) - What The? - - Us Studly Men - Diary Of A Dipso - Meditation for Dummies -Becker's Pecker and our favorite.... "Pop Smear" we kinda like pap smear but the "pop" is more fitting. Hey we can be your artistic directors and you can pay us with Ron kisses. HMMMM how super Yummy would that be..... DEAL?.!! >> Mike from Hamburg, where are ya?<< Already posted a message last friday I think, but somehow, the board obviously sent it somewhere into internet nirvana - so here it comes again: I'm back now after suffering a mega computer crash (all my 4 hard drives got lost - and I lost all my data on these drives!!!) Now, years later (at least I now feel as if I got older lots of years within only 10 or so days) I rebuilt and reconfigured my computer so that I at least can get online again - I tell you, all these days without internet access were horrible as hell. Regarding a title for the new CD: I don't care. Titles are not important to me - but what IS important to me, is to hear you guys LIVE - so please, don't care about a title, but for God's sake,make sure that the new CD is a LIVE recording! ;) Greetings from Hamburg Mike |

Mike, We've got some live video clips of us we were talking about putting up on the web site for free - there's one of us playing Who tunes with Tommy Conwell in Philadelphia (Can't Explain and Long Live Rock) I want to use and maybe we could put up a song or two from the WMGK concert. We've got to convert the footage to a digital file and get it up on the site (is that hard to do???). Anyway, the hope is to also put up some MP3s of the new tunes for folks to preview before the albums come out. - Mick http://www.dipsomaniacs.net |

Mike from Hamburg - sorry about your computer! Just remember the most popular way to fix a computer problem: #1 pick up keyboard, #2 hit monitor while cursing loadly (either German OR English will work equally as well) #3 put on some Who #4 drink more beer. On a more serious note, our upcoming rarities/outakes CD should feature some live stuff. We're looking forward to it! Mike from Somerset - definitely agree, that would be cool to do. If we can find a way to properly convert some video, we'll put it on there. That was a show to remember! What an incredible experience for us! Aaaand to anyone else named Mike out there - the Dipsos say "hello"! |

Mike, great to hear from you again. Most of our time right now is being spent on rehearsing and perfecting the new batch of songs, so alas...no live Dipso CD in time for Christmas.. which of course, is bad for us because now we actually have to buy Christmas gifts for everyone instead of being cheap and just handing out CD's... :^P |

OK we've been touting this rarities CD for a while now and we're starting to rethink. In fact it looks like the rarities/live stuff may be a bonus disc given away along with the release of our next CD which we are currently working on but need several more months to finish. The rarities/live stuff is good fun and a decent listen but doesn't really stand on its own to make for an official release. I plan to add a free download page on the Dipso web site where we'll post a lot of these tracks for folks to check out. There's a great version of the old Dipso tune "White Trash Girl" and also finally a version of our previously unrecorded classic, "I Need a Beer". There's also a piano ballad - "Hello Cleveland" that is decent. SO anyway that's the deal - we're concentrating on finishing the new CD and will release the rarities stuff as a bonus disc.
