Happy Tuesday all... hope everyone is doing well tonight... well, Group "T", List "3" ends in a two way tie. I never thought that would happen. Looks like "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane" suffered from one of the old sayings we have all heard all our lives.. "FAMILIARITY BREEDS CONTEMPT".. several comments from fans who love it but thought it got played to death. It was a #2 smash off "Can't Run From Yourself", a wedding favorite, and helped steer the "Can't Run From Yourself" CD to PLATINUM STATUS!!.. One million sold and counting!!!.. It now is in a runoff with "Take Another Run" a smoking track that opens Tanya's "Tennessee Woman" CD which went GOLD. So we now have to choose. Voting starts now and will end on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 6 PM PST. Thanks to ALL. we are almost at the end and will SOON know our winner. Ron |

Take Another Run could have easily been a single from the TW cd -- it is that good. I don't think I will ever get tired of Tanya's live version of 2 Sparrows -- it is a very strong song live -- and that is why 2 Sparrows gets my vote. http://forums.delphiforums.com/tuttfs/start New messageboard - The Unofficial Tanya Tucker Board |

You are correct about "Take Another Run" Fl DEE..it could have been a hot single.. Paul Overstreet actually released it and it climbed into the 60's on the country BILLBOARD Charts. Given Tanya's popularity during the time Tennessee Woman was first released she could have easily taken it into the TOP 15 if not the TOP TEN. I gotta vote for "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane' also. Thanks for the vote, Ron. |

Ya know neither one of these are on my fave list But I'm gonna vote for "Take Another Run" Speaking of wedding songs when we got married in 88 I wanted "I Won't Take Less Than Your Love" can't remember why I didn't it would be cool if she sang at Osceola. I know how much Al Love s K. Chesney this is gonna rock her world. This is the worst version of this song I ever heard have a listen www.youtube.com/watch?v=byUR2nAbkrU |

Kenny's version was god awful -- worse than I expected.. and no Dee, it was nowhere near obvious who you voted for. (Welcome back Mark and Kim, been a while) http://forums.delphiforums.com/tuttfs/start New messageboard - The Unofficial Tanya Tucker Board |

I thought you would like that version Al..... Those pain pills can't be that damn good if they didn't kill his version..... who was the chick singing??? I thought maybe I was being critical I'm not a Chesney fan |

I think it sais in one of the comments who was singing with him, but it wasn't anyone I'd ever heard of. I'm not a Kenny Chesney fan either, seems like all his songs sound the same, just different words to the same music. I don't know why, but I DO love his current single "Better As A Memory" for some strange reason. Go figure????? However, I could have gone the rest of my life without hearing his version of "I Won't Take Less Than Your Love"...LMFAO...you ruined my day with that one girlfriend!!!!LMAO |

Hi Everyone: Happy Friday!!!. Sorry I am a bit late.. went out to dinner and drinks with some co-workers, then had to get home and hurriedly water my small bonsai tree collection of 35 trees at they baked in 104 degree heat today... So, "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane" emerges victorious in this tiebreaker. Opening up the next contest in a new thread. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR TIME AND VOTES. Ron |

Ron..... Question I love those little bansai tree's and always wanted one But always heard they were very tempermental and hard to take care of is that true???? Al I agree with ya on.... Chesney's songs sounding alike I would have to say my fave song by him is "She Think's My Tractors Sexy" MY VOTE IS..... I'LL COME BACK" |

Hi Bebop: Yes, bonsai trees are very tempermental and their ability to survive is all up to you and the climate you live in. Bonsai means "tree in a pot". and that is exactly what they are.. they need to live outdoors like anyother tree.. most people keep them in doors and they die... they have to be watered correctly based on the seasons in your climate.. i think u r in one of the Dakotas?.. not a good place for them. they also have to be properly trimmed during growing season to maintain their distinctiveness. Also, they need to be repotted every couple of years, not necessarily to a bigger pot as they can stay in the same pot forever, depending on the size you want them to get, but do require root trimming and new soil at least every two years and some die from the shock. So my advice is not a good hobby or item for you based mainly on your climate. If u can, can u please vote for "I'll Come Back" in the new thread. THANKS SOOOOOOOO MUCH, Ron |
