Gather round, Chaps! (again)
Some friendly Tydleslys have raised a point regarding my PERFECT warning order. (Grumble! Moan! Mutter!)
Apparently it could be miscontrued that we don't have to arrive until noon saturday NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
We have to open the event then so PLEASE make sure you get there by mid Saturday morning AT THE LATEST!
The pub has been breifed for our arrival to indulge in beers on the FRIDAY night and they are also putting on a Hog Roast on Saturday evening about 7.30/8pm
They are still so excited about our participation and we have had a workshop for the children to make costumes for the under-12s Cavalier and Roundheads fancy dress!
or, yes, as Stephen points our my village has two names Shroton and Iwerne Courtney (not to be confused with Iwerne Minster) and its pronounced Ewan and I'm going now cos I getting anxious again about weath/attendance/toilets/camping room/everyone having a ggod time and enough beer etc etc etc.....

Oh Weather, I'd assumed it was WEALTH you were worried about!
Any idea whether (not weather) Shroton is accessible by public transport? It transpires I'm not working that w/e after all.

Hi Nursey, with all the kiddy stuff going on would it be OK for me to take photos? I could get them printed off, send them to you and then you could let the kids have them. You may wish to check with the other organizers to see where we stand on the legal side. I will bring the camera anyway so we can have a chat friday afternoon. xx

Great event, thanks for all your hard work,

To all the chaps who came to this 'small' event and did such a sterling job for the Society a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!! You did a terrific job and are beng nattered about by the adults. The children commandeered the straw bales on Monday and built the most fantastic fort which is busily being attacked and defended! - It has its own imaginary cat with a real bed and cat biscuits which Travis hoovered up in a nano second to the squeals of the soldiers in charge!!!!
But seriously, this weekend shows just what a lovely bunch of people ECWS contains that tired and strapped for cash as we are we turn up to support a small event to invest in the future. I'm sorry about the early morning Alarm Call (unbooked!) and the village was out of electricity until 4pm(so could we have made a fortune with the breakfast tent?) So salutes and hugs and thanks aplenty for the best Regiment in the Kings Army and its chums, one of my ambitions has been achieved to bring home some £££££ to the Regimental coffers. Nice.

Nursey it was a great event and I am really glad I didnt miss it. Shame about the big cannons early Sunday morning they really rattled the old head but lets hope for a repeat in a smashing part of the country.

Just got the update on the money. They made a clear profit of 2 1/2 grand!!!! Not bad for an event open 12-5pm!!!!
We can do no wrong in their eyes and the blokes who joined us round the campfire have been praising us to anyone who will listen! But their wives aren't pleased cos they had to stay in all evening and babysit the kids. Twas ever thus, but who cares!
The early morning alarm call took out all the electricity in the village until 4pm! Who cares I was asleep until then. Hope you are all rested now and YEE-ha for Corfe!!!!
love and thanks
NurseyXX
