Hi. I have encountered a client who has an obsessive fear of being disorientated...especially being upside down. Has anyone else ever encountered this particular condition in practise, and if so, can you share with me please what methods you employed to treat and whether you were successful or not?Thank you.Ian James

You are a bit vague in your question. Has this person been to a doctor for this condition? If so what was the opinion of the doctor? I would be reluctant to see the client until such time as he or she has consulted a doctor. If it is a fear opposed to a condition then yes it could be treated through hypnosis once the cause has been found through therapy. If the cause is found perhaps Roberts FET will do the trick.

Hi Richard. The client has been to numerous doctors and psychologists without any success whatsoever. Indeed it was latterly one of these who suggested that he try hypnotherapy in an attempt to get to the root of his problem. My belief is that this is an obsessive compulsion rather than a fear as such. Thanks for taking the time to respond thus far.
