If anyone remembers the Twilight Ballroom...There will be a Twilight Reunion dance in Fort Dodge at the Laramar Ballroom on April 28th, 2007. My parents used to own it and saw a band they've been wanting to bring to town...Rick K and the Allnighters. They are a GREAT band out of West Virginia. They really get a crowd going. Predominantly 60's & 70's but also have some 50's and a few country and a few songs from 80's-90's. It's an over 21 dance...no kids...my parents had a good reputation for bringing good entertainment and it promises to be a great event. |

Who are your parents and when did they own the ballroom? |

Dick and Lee Derrig. They ran the ballroom from 1972-1985. They PURCHASED the ballroom in 1975. My dad worked there prior to 1972 during the 1st Laramar days as well as when it was the Plamor. |

We worked the Twilight many times while your parents owned it with The Kenny Hofer Band. Tell your parents hi and we wish you the best of luck with your reunion. Sounds like a good time. |
