For some reason man has acquired this notion that he/she is more often than not 100% sure of what's going on around them as well as in them. We have grown very confident in our capabilities as a species. We have come so far in science and technology. We have grown to create superpowers and weapons of mass destruction. But what growth have we achieved as beings? Can we answer the daunting questions about reality, love, emotions, and the mind? we are so very certain we know our selves. Yet the instant that our certainty is questioned let alone threatened we completely loose sight and faith of ourselves as well as existence itself. We give up so easily. We quickly push these questions without answers to the side for the fear they might be unanswerable. Perhaps its not just the answer that matters. Perhaps what we are looking for lies within the questioning. How is it we can convince ourselves it isn’t worth our time to question our own existence. And what makes our time so valuable anyway? Have we all suddenly become enlightened as to why our presence is of value? If not then we have some work to do. |
