Hi, My ancestor was Bridgit O'Neill nee McNamara from Rosroe, Sixmilebridge in Co. Clare. Some of her offspring are buried with McNamara's in the cemetery at Seven Hill near Clare in SA.I'd be interested in anyone who may possibley related to these Clare SA McNamara's.

My great grandfather was Michael Patrick Mcnamara. He arrived in Adelaide with his two brothers (I have been told)one of whom settled in Macclesfield. Michael settled in Coromandel Valley and was married to Ann McMahon. They had 14 children, my grandmother being number 14, Florence May McNamara born in 1989. The property has since been subdivided but my brother still lives on part of it.

Looking for any information on my maternal uncle: Francis Joseph M'Namara (alternately McNamara) who moved to South Australia sometime in the 1920's or 30's from Sydney. Attended Shore, worked at a bank, became a bit of a black sheep, moved interstate. No other information available. Born approx 1900-1910, probably in Randwick or Coogee area. Sisters Gladys and Jeanne (Jean - my mum) - dad Joseph, I believe. May have worked for SA Railways in some capacity. Any help appreciated.

Hi All,I come from a long line of McNamara'a dating back to 1878 arriving in Glenelg SA. Joseph McNamara was my Great, Great Grandfather who was married to Mary. My Father Kevin (1920-1997) married Dorothy Edgecombe and had 6 children. Kevin's brothers lived in Glenelg and the Eyre Peninsula around Port Lincoln. I've lost contact with those outside the Glenelg region and it would be great to get their details.

Update: My uncle, Joseph Kenneth McNamara, moved to South Australia sometime around 1930ish. He was born in Paddington (Sydney, 1905), to Francis Kenneth McNamara (often styled M'Namara) and Edith Amy (Stafford) and had younger sisters, Gladys and Jeanne (Jean Ida - my mum).Anyone have any Joseph Kenneth McNamara info? He may have worked for SA Rail.

My G-GM was Margaret McNamara, details I have of her are: Born Co. Clare 18/12/1846, emigrated to Australia about 1861 (possibly Victoria), married Daniel Kelly 19/6/1865 at Sevenhill (S.A.) had 6 children in S.A., died Broken Hill (N.S.W.)16/9/1928. I have little info on her family, father listed as Michael, mother possibly Ellen & that's about it. Does anyone else have any info for this family? Many thanks, Kevin.
