These are not my family but some other Mac's I've come across in my research. May help someone to connect. "Several other McNamara Families lived in the Macclesfield area and may have been related in some way. One man, Corney,(also listed as Cornelius or Connor) arrived in the ship "Sir John Lawrence" in 1862. He married Ellen Ford, but it seems he had two sons back in Ireland who migrated later on. Michael was born in Ireland in 1844 and arrived in Australia in 1869. He married Bridget Maloney at Macclesfield, they produced five daughters. Bridget was born in 1843 and died in 1908. Age 65. Michael was involved in Macclesfield affairs, such as Council, Church Picnic etc and is listed as a Gardener & Contractor(Road Works Etc) The other son Patrick was born in 1839 and in 1866 he married Mary Ryan daughter of Peter Ryan(also spelt Rouen & Reuin). They had eleven children, including twin girls, all born at Macclesfield.Corney - born at Macclesfield..............12 Nov 1867John born at Macclesfield ..............13 May 1869Michael Patrick born at Macclesfield ..............18 Sept 1870 married Bridget Cecilia O'Malley. Buried it Macclesfield.Peter - born at Macclesfield .............. 4 April 1872Thomas - born at Macclesfield ..............22 june 1874Patrick - born Mt barker ...............27 Nov 1875. married Bridget Cecilia after Michael died.Johanna - born Macclesfield ............... 8 July 1879Mary - born at Macclesfield ...............25 May 1881 - Died 8 March 1883 Edward - born at Macclesfield ...............11 May 1883Mary Twin 1 - born at Macclesfield ...............27 Feb 1886Susan Twin 2 - born at Macclesfield ..............27 Feb 1886 married Edward Charles Gray. Some of their elder sons went to Broken hill, but 3 of them came back in ill health from working in the mines. After his return Michael Patrick married Bridget Cecilia O'Malley at the Catholic Church, Macclesfield on 5/6/1896. Michael died on 3/16/1910 and is buried in Macclesfield. His son Patrick John Bernard who was killed in Adelaide in 1912 shares his resting place. His dying words are engraved on the head stone " Who will work for you now Mother".Bridget Cecilia later married her brother-in-law Patrick, at the Strathalbyn Catholic Church on 10/3/1914.Susan one of the twins married Edward Charles Gray on 6/7/1905 at the Catholic Presbytery in Mt barker.Another McNamara who lived for some time in Macclesfield was James , who married Catherine Guardian in Adelaide on 9/6/1843. They had seven children between 1848 & 1858 : Dennis,Ellen,Michael,James,Lawrence,Edward & Patrick. All of these McNamara's could have been related including some who settled in Adelaide, the mid north or the south East, also some who moved interstate as they all came from the same area in Ireland.
