Not the biggest dog in the world...and to be honest it acted like a cur dog when nothing was going on, but when a man got involved and was about to be killed the little Bull Terrier saved him from pretty much certain doom. Hats off to the little dog for when it mattered, as he then rose to the occation. Enjoy.

lnteresting video, but the little part bull terrier pretty much stays a cur. You will see he avoids even the slightest advance from the bull when facing up, but then when the bull rolls the man , much like when a low pack member sees two of his superiors fight races in for a cheap bite, the little dog races in for his shot.lnstinct tells him it is safest to hang on. And if that bull had really gone for that or any other person the dog wouldnt have made too much difference, luckily the bull was confused by excessive choice. Beware anthropomorphism !

Hey, I completely agree with you...but two things come to mind.
One, I guarantee the man really appreciated the timing of that cur.
Two, that man probably wouldn't be alive without him.
Gotta love him for what he did when it mattered.

Oh my gosh! I dunno, I have to disagree. That dog...whatever its breed, has the huevos the size of Denver!
I think calling that dog a cur, is tantamount to saying a wild wolf is a cur. Wolves are inherently afraid of people, yet they have very strong prey and fight drives. That dog was careful and cunning, but his movements reminded me of live videos I have seen of wolves hunting in the wild as a single attacker facing larger prey. Some of the dogs reactions reminded me of good solid herding dogs and cutting dogs as well. But cur? Not in my book. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

No, worked catching wild bulls with dogs most of my life, you couldnt give me that dog with a $50 note, and that man would have walked away with or without the dog, l guess when you work around wild stock all the time you see it different.Have used dogs to break bad bulls for rodeo etc that were courageous, that little fella is tuff, but definitely only flew in when he thought another pack member had that bull distracted. Anyway no big deal either way.

Thad Stacy,
"I think calling that dog a cur, is tantamount to saying a wild wolf is a cur."
A wolf can have high prey and defense drives, but they are a cur. A wolf expresses drive to stay alive. For the species to live. A non-cur dog is a dog that doesn't care about self-preservation in the heat of battle...as it is "game" no matter what. Such a game dog would have prey and defense drives (natural drives that continue the existence of a species), but a game dog also has an "artificial drive" as a result of being selected by man to no longer preserve one's self...but to fight no matter what...something often referred to as "fight drive." Some may say it is a drive, some say it is not...but regardless (both arguements have merit IMO)...the trait exists in a game/non-cur type dog...and a non-cur BULL working dog would have attacked the bull before the man ever fell. On that note, there may be some dogs out there that are not curs that may have had zero interest in a bull.
Again, I know the man that was saved may very well owe his life to that dog and the dog did what was needed when it mattered just perfectly. SO, on that note, no one can disrespect that little dog. IMO, hats of to him.
