With the advent of double-headers,would it not be worth considering playing two league games on Monday evenings next season?Playing 30 matches plus cup games makes for a long campaign while staging double-headers could mean that the quiz year could be punctuated by more breaks.Anyone care to comment?

I am a supporter of the double headers to shorten the season. It is a very good method of achieving that result. I wouldn't like to play double headers throughout the year though as Ray is implying as it would mean missing out on some excellent venues and a 15 week season I feel would lead to more people leaving to seek the riches of pub quizzes. However I would urge the committee to ensure that the two double headers do not fall on consecutive weeks though, as we this year had one of our regular team away for a two week holiday meaning he missed not 2 but 4 games. We lost all 4!

What's wrong with a long season ? Surely we are in the quiz league because we enjoy it. 30 games is fine by me.Two divisions does though mean that there is perhaps too much difference between the relative strengths of the teams. Maybe 3 smaller divisions with Scottish league type end of season split would give us around 25 games.

Absolutely agree with Geoff...our team really like the longer season...along with rule change about answering questions it has made the quiz league more enjoyable

I understand the sentiments of my fellow quizzers.Perhaps as one who plays in two and sometimes even three quiz leagues throughout the year,I speak only for myself.
