My grandfather John McNamara came from Feagle in County Clare. I am looking for any families who could be related. His father took him to the United States in the late 1800's when he was about 10 years old. My great Grandfather wife had died in Feagle around the same time he left for the USA. He re-married to Mary Murphy also of Feagle in county Clare. Are there any Feagle of County Clare McNamara's who could contact me?Sincerely,Tom McNamara |

My great-grandfather was Michael McNamara (b. 1840 Cullicsi, Clare d.8/27/1904 at Burren, Clare) His Parents were John and Anna King McNamara. He was married 3/1/1870 to Margaret Normoyle(Normile) of Coalacoosane, Clare. I believe that we may be related to McNamara's in Leimnaleha, Clare. |

I am trying to trace more information on John McNamara and his ancestors. Christened in Broadford, Co Clare around 1834. Immigrated to Australia some time before 1863. Father John McNamara, Mother Mary McMahon. Had a sister Bridget McNamara who immigrated to Australia some time before 1863 as she was a witness to John's marriage in 1863. Family gossip tells of two other brothers Patrick and James. One supposedly lost at sea.ThanksShaz |

My GGGGrandfather, Daniel McNamara, was born about 1843 and married an Ellen Collane (Collean?) about 1861 before emmigrating to Trenton NJ around 1863. Daniel's death certificate listed his parents as Patrick McNamara and Bridget Grady.Review of census records for 1855 for County Clare only lists one town where McNamara's, Grady's and Collane's all lived. That town is Colluragh near Enniston. |

Dennis and James later declared their birth place as Galway but most of the family believe they came from Ennistymon,Clare.A girl Bridget 18yrs and a lad John 16yrs were also on board and may well have been the older children of this couple. John was sponsored by Mike Kenny. |
