i am looking for information on and get in touch with any of the mcnamara clan in new orleans, louisiana, usa. short story as i have heard from my father, in the 1800's a young lady was deported from county clare under the surname of mcnamara. her exodus was quite conspicuous since she arrived in new orleans pregnant, a dowry and a young son. the story continues later on when the brothers owned a cooperage business and fell into fueding with one another until the company could not progress and they went out of business due to their lack of partnership and the advancement of canning. this divided the mcnamara clan of new orleans, so i am told, and to this day i have met only one other mcnamara from the "other side of the family". My grandfathers name was John T.McNamara, an accountant with J. Aaron and sons, coffee importers of new orleans. His grandfather, was Joseph McNamara, who i believe worked in a lumber yard in new orleans. i emplore all new orleanean mcnamaras to respond. sincerely, tim j mcnamara jr ,afam, M.M. austin, texas
