Michael and his children Catherine, Bridget and John arrived at Geelong by 1856. In that year Catherine married Richard Connell in Geelong. Her mother was Mary but there is no evidence of her ever being in Australia. John was killed in a mining accident in Mt Doran in January 1862. Anything that you can add would be most appreciated. It's been a real brick wall apart from Catherine and Richard's children and that line.

Forgot to add that Catherine was born in Kildare.

Hi Bob,Wondering if you have any more info on Michael? ie what ship he came out on and if he had known siblings??? I'm curious to see if he's connected to our Thomas who arrived in S.E Victoria around that same time. Cheers, Janelle

Unfortunately there is nothing specific on their arrival. It would appear that they lived in Geelong for a time and that is where his daughter Catherine married Richard Connell in 1856. One assumes that there were relatives here already but there is no documentation to reflect a connection.
