My mother was very Irish. Her mother was Johanna Flahavan and I have been trying for over six yearsto put pieces together. Our ancestral home still stands in Ballekinsella, verynear Tramore, in County Waterford. Mother correponded with a cousin,Catherine McNamarra, who went to Australia to join the Ursuline order. Her parents were Michael McNamarra and Ellen Doyle. On Oct.6,1885 shewas received as a Postulant, eventually going on to become Mother General, known as Mother Anthony, she died in 1951. My question is, how is sherelated to the Flahavan (Flavin) family? She was born in Cahir, CountyWaterford on October 21,1868. I have a copy of her parents marriage certificate, but, their parents names do not appear on the certificate.
