Margaret FLANAGAN married Lawrence RYAN in 1898 in Fremantle. They then lived in Southern Cross where Lawrence was a teacher. Margaret FLANAGAN came from Silvergrove in County Clare. Her parents were James FLANAGAN and Winifred MCNAMARA. We know that she visited family in the Ballarat-Boxhill area in Victoria in 1900 or 1901. Margaret was the eldest of 9 children, William, Ellen, Kate, Peter, Michael, Mary, James and Johanna. Are there any family members of the FLANAGAN (Co.Clare) or RYAN (Co.Tipperary) who may be able to help with the Victorian part of the story.
