Why do you continue to promote the thoroughly discredited Iraq Body Count (IBC), which consistently under-reports by a hue margin the true scale of mortality in Iraq? I thought you were all for truth and justice.Go here to read why IBC cannot be trusted: www.medialens.org/alerts/06/060125_paved_with_good.php...and then publish The Lancet's scientifically rigorous study figures instead: www.thelancet.com/webfiles/images/journals/lancet/s0140673606694919.pdfThere's a massive difference between 88,044 and 655,000!

This is a good point. We are aware of the Lancet figure given in a study some time ago but it is not updated. Please suggest an alternative updating source.

I think the discrepancy is so huge that whether The Lancet updates or not is hardly relevant. IBC will take years to catch up with The Lancet at its current rate of reporting. The point, surely, is to make people aware of the true scale of the carnage. Why not just quote The Lancet's figure, qualified by the date on which it was published?
