The last time I bumped into Sarah on 15th street, she opened with, "Don't you just love making out?" "Heck yeah," I said, "are you seeing someone?" "My boyfriend. And he is The Best kisser. We make out for hours. It's totally awesome." I told her how happy I was that she had a boyfriend and that I, too, thought making out was totally awesome. We discussed kissing and its merits for some time. It sounds silly to say that there was a certain twinkle in her eye that I'd never noticed before, even in someone as ebulient as Sarah. But she really did light up the sidewalk that day, the way she did when telling me about a film screening or a benefit concert I had to check out, but more so. I'd like to think it was all that makin' out. At any rate she looked wonderful and that's how i'll remember Sarah. They sure broke the mold. |
