Greetings -!

I don’t usually make large announcements for the shows that I am in, but my current production warrants one. If you ever want to see me or support a show I’m doing, this is the one. It is “The Three Musketeers,” which most people are at least slightly familiar with, a swashbuckling adventure that follows a young man named d’Artagnan who is befriended by three inseparable musketeers, who fight to stop the sinister dealings of the corrupt Cardinal Richelieu. Our version covers much more ground than many of you may know, a truly epic tale that will definitely surprise you if you have only seen the movie versions.

I star in this production as d’Artagnan, and I am also the fight captain and choreographer of all the swordplay. Of course, you that know me shouldn’t be surprised that I also built the (rather massive) set, although I can’t take credit for the paint job. If those weren’t reasons enough to come out, Musketeers is also the debut production in the Mainstage of the Maverick Theater, of which I am one of the owners and managers. So this show marks not only the end result of a huge undertaking for myself and my partners, but the completion of the Maverick Theater as an operational space with two performance spaces. It’s been nine months since we started building, so we are very proud to finally be here. Plus, we just got our beer license a few weeks ago, so now you have no excuses not to come!

Musketeers plays every Friday and Saturday at 8:00 and Sundays at 4:00 from now until October 15th. Fridays and Saturday tickets are $16.00, and Sunday tickets are $13.00. The easiest way to get tickets are to go online to www.mavericktheater.com, or to call the Box Office at (714) 526-7070. However, since I’m often the one who checks that reservation line, you could also just respond to this e-mail and I could reserve your tickets that way as well.

After the show on Fridays and Saturdays, you can stick around the theater and watch Improv Shmimprov for five bucks (which I will be playing in whenever I’m not too tired from Musketeers), and on Fridays that is followed by Mr. Karaoke at midnight, so there’s tons of entertainment if you’d just like to stick around, hang out, and have fun. On Sundays nothing follows the show, so you are more than welcome to take me out to dinner afterwards. Please? There’s no money in swashbuckling these days …

I hope this finds you all well, thank you for reading and I hope you get a chance to come see this show, I’m very proud of it and honestly think it is a great experience.

-Nate
