Bonanza, I say. “Bonanza!” It’s the kind of word that makes you feel like old weathered men should start skipping off of their wood-slated porches and start whipperwhoolin’ words like “high-falutin’” and “whipperwhoolin’!” It’s the kind of word that makes you think a bunch of bananas is going to be, probably comedically, dropped on something. It’s the kind of word to describe a weekend of Shmimprov with friggin’ tons of players. So come on down for the Shmimprov this weekend at the Maverick, on Friday night stick around afterwards for Mr. Karaoke … on Saturday night hang around afterwards, um, just to hang around! It’s one of those rare times when nothing follows Shmimprov, so you can sit in your seat for hours afterwards, just remembering the good ol’ times of that night’s show.
