i happened by your site and saw just your post. It looks like you went to a lot of effort to get this up. Good going. They say if you build it they will come. Well, somebody has arrived. I don't have a typical physical disability. But I am non-functional. Please don't laugh, but I had my nose straightened 2 years ago. The Dr, didn't straighten my nose, he changed my whole face. It is insane. I've tried to get someone to file a suit, but because I'm still somewhat attractive they don't think anyone will care. Oh, my Dear God. Isn't it enough that he has made me look like someone other than myself? I can't sleep. I can't function. My face has muscle damage, my eyes are sunken into my orbits, and he cut virtually all of the cartilage out of my nose. I'll never adjust to this. It's an odd experience being human. In some ways we are far more fragile than would be expected, and in others stronger than we could imagine. Thanks for letting me stop by and vent. Great idea. I hope more people find this. I'll try to keep it going. Sorry about your nose. What a jerk. I had an bad medical nose surgery experience 2 years ago. I'd be furious if they changed the look of my nose. It's my favorite looking feature-even if it doesn't always function perfectly. I bet he charged you for it too. Take 'em to court!!! Well, I don't exactly have an injury either. Though all the car crashes I've been in haven't helped my fibromyalgia. I've got Lupus too and live alone. My family wants me to move to nowheresville and be taken care of. I want to live in opertunity city and support myself. The problem is oftentimes I'm too sick to work and I end up having to go to them for financial help all the time. The cost of living in nowheresville is very cheap. They worry about me. If I don't call them back within hours my mom freaks. Hopefully oppertunity will knock soon and I'll be well enough to answer. [This message has been edited on 07/04/2005] |
