At some point in my life, I remember being offered the following alternatives. The problem is, I can't remember by whom. Any ideas? A circus or a seaside pier. A sausage or a pint of beer. |

Dave - was it the one person offering both pairs of alternatives? Or two separate peeps? |

Candy: thanks for trying to help! I've got a feeling it was three people, and that those same three people were offering both alternatives. And I've realised that I was wrong about one thing: it wasn't a sausage or a *pint* of beer; rather, it was sausage or a *can* of beer. I wish it were possible to find out through the Interweb!! |

I'm afraid I can't point you in the right direction. I was thinking at first that it might have been Pontius Pilate but that now seems ridiculous in light of the "can" stipulation. Good luck. |

Dave, I've struck bingo for you. A quick Google, using the search engine Google, Googled up this song, in which the alternatives you remember being offered are em-bedhead (perhaps now you can see why it is three people who gave the advice): Goodies! Goodie goodie yum yum! Take a little good advice; Try a trip to paradise. It's not hard to find, You've got it on your mind, You can't pretend it wouldn't be nice. It's whatever turns you on. Goodies! A circus or a seaside pier, A sausage or a can of beer, A stripper or a clown, Prices going down, You can make it happen here. Fine for all the family. Goodies! Goodies, goody goody yum yum! Goodies, goody goody yum yum! Goodies, goody goody yum yum! The Goodies are coming for you And you and you and you. |

Mouthwash. It's true. That's a song that reaches deep. If I knew what was coming, I'd have brought a chaperone. |
