Where have all the boot boys gone? Hammy, Jacko, Boots and John Where have all the boot boys gone? It looks like I'm the only one. The one!!!!! So that's what the second line of the chorus says. It's taken me nearly 30 years to find that out! http://www.punk77.co.uk/groups/slaughterandthedogslyr.htm |

Cully, you should have listened to the record. |

I listened to it many a time, as did most of us Athy Punks, but nobody could ever figure out what it said. Maybe I should have rung up Wayne Barrett and asked the man himself. |

According to the official Slaughter And The Dogs web site, that second line is: "Hammy, Jacker, Bugs and John" So, Cully, you still can't be sure. |

Yeah, they're on the slaughter andthedogs.com site. There's all sorts of mistakes on it though, so I'd say the punk77 lyrics are more likely to be right. I wonder what the second line of East Side Of Town is though? |

Is that really Cully? You just keep away from my bloody chimney, sunshine! It still needs to be standing in the morning. |

Yeah, I'd already got the slaughter.com link thanks, but where's the link to the lyrics on there. The link on the music box thing on the right just opens a blank page. |

Music box thing? It's the menu item "S.A.T.D.s Lyrics". |

What's that song they sung about shaving beards? |

posted 8/17/06 0:04 AM
dont understand "a bit of a premonition",is it similar to "a piece of a dream",or a "segment of nightmare",or even a"dollop of daydream" |

Ah, the shaving beards song! You must be referring to You're Ready Now. Although it isn't strictly about shaving beards, the first couple of lines do mention such an activity - at least in the Slaughter version. Funnily enough, the original Frankie Valli version mentions neither shaving nor beards. You're Ready Now appears to be about a young girl's blossoming from awkward adolescence into the confident maturity of womanhood. |

Right, that's it. I'll be starting a Robbie Williams thread very very soon. |
