It becomes very difficult at times to deal with some of the conflicts that we experience in our lives. It is easy to look around and see that there are other people in tougher circumstances than we are dealing with, so we think that we should just suck it up and deal with it. But, we can not just ignore it and hope it will go away. We need to ask for God's help to see us through. When we do pray to God to help, he probably isn't going to just make the issue go away, he may create an opportunity for us to change or grow to where we are able to work our way through the difficulty. As we continue to grow, we may even be able to help others along the way or help them through similar issues in the future. It just helps tremendously to know that we are not having to tackle these things alone, we have our Lord to help us through. I just need to be willing to ask and then be conscious of the help that may be presented to me.

Much as we are told not to complain, and though no one might want to hear it, it really is a part of being human. We do need to get it out sometimes. The wonderful part of Psalms is that we see that God is willing to listen to our complaint. God even wants us to complain to Him so that we can get it out, and not let it tear at us.
Often we portray the good Christian as the one who nevers worries, never gets upset, never doubts. Yet Biblically we have very real people like David (author of many of the psalms) who feared, who cried, who screamed. And David is one of the great models of faith in the Bible.
