Hello, We have several toads and one escaped. We found it last night but it has an injury on its neck. Does anyone know how to treat a sore? He is walking around, no jumping, an looks pretty good considering he's hurt. We'd appriciate any help you can give. |

Nicole, the big question is whether the wound is open and bleeding or do you see white foamy stuff? The neck area is where the paratoid gland is located and often a toad who had been stressed by a fall from a high place will have bufo toxin on the gland. It can look like a clear, wet film or a white foam. The last resort is to put anything on it. First we need to determine whether its an injury or just bufo toxin. Let me know. http://www.toadilytoads.com |

It is a bloody site with a scab. The ara is slightly red around the wound. |

If it has a scab and isn't oozing or bleeding, then I would leave it alone, and not put anything on it. I recommend you go to http://www.frogdaze.com and ask for further medical advice. Please let me know how the toad progresses. http://www.toadilytoads.com |
